Professor Al Fichera CIS67 Creating Web Pages

This is a back-up site for the CIS67 Creating Web Pages class, sometimes on-campus and other times online. This is the first course in Web Design and XHTML Coding in the CIS Department. You will learn CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and basic XHTML code. A finished Web site will be produced by you before the end of the semester that features all of the material you learned in the semester.

Examples, Videos and Web Material for this class is backed-up on this page.

XHTML & JavaScriptI've been reconstruction pages that were lost when my server blew-up! That's two times now that I've lost files; it takes a long time to rebuild these sites when the files are all over the place!

The following items are my examples of the concepts you'll find used in the course exercises below. I'm just trying to show you what these concepts can do for you once you learn them. You are not expected to try and copy these, but perhaps be inspired to think outside of the assignment once and a while.

This section is my own learning area while trying to learn how to use HTML5 and CSS3. The concepts are always exciting to view in all Browsers, except that MSIE is still behind in accepting this format. MSIE 9 can handle some of the concepts, however, all other Browsers are doing great with them. If you want to learn these, you'll have to view the page source code, I'm not providing instructions yet, however, there are links on the pages that lead to where I found the concepts and you'll find instruction on those pages.

The following are the exercises and their PDF files plus How To Do Videos for each.

These exercises were chosen to give you a very basic introduction to XHTML notation and a basic introduction to the use of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to develop your Web pages.

The needed PDF file is included for you as well as a helpful How To Video for the exercise. The examples shown are my interpretations of the concepts within, you should strive for your own identification in these exercises.
